The 4th unit

The unit performs the role of supporting infrastructure for G-COE activities. The cities will be global players in the 21st century and the networks between cities give access to the vital strategic resource; knowledge. The unit works together with the international school project of graduate school of literature and human sciences.

The unit develops international relations and the information database to create archives for the studies on civic wisdom. The unit is building up the network to support the Plaza's international a peer-reviewed Journal of City, Culture and Society. The journal aims to stimulate a new interdisciplinary paradigm that embraces multiple perspectives. Topics of CCS include urban economics, cultural creation, social inclusion, social sustainability, cultural technology, urban governance, sustainable cities, and creative cities.Planned to be issued: Jan. 2010
